Mr. Md. Alamgir Hossain is an accomplished business leader and a highly experienced professional in the corporate and apparel sectors of Bangladesh. He served as the Director of Commercial, Merchandising & Marketing at Melody Group (2003–2018), managing diverse and extensive operations in the apparel business.
With nearly three decades of distinguished experience in the industry, Mr. Alamgir Hossain has built an outstanding career marked by commercial excellence and strategic leadership. Prior to his tenure at Melody Group, he served as the Country Manager & In-charge of Lobako Ltd. (a prominent European & USA-based garments buying agent in Bangladesh) from 1992 to 2002, where he successfully drove business growth and managed international buying relationships.
Beyond his corporate excellence, Mr. Alamgir Hossain possesses an influential and high-level professional network within Bangladesh’s financial and banking sectors. He has a proven track record of maintaining close, trusted relationships and direct coordination with top-tier banking leadership, including Chairmen, Managing Directors (MDs), and Deputy Managing Directors (DMDs). This elite executive liaison capability, coupled with his strategic insight, enables him to effectively oversee and facilitate critical corporate security solutions, including the successful deployment of highly trained security guards and specialized armed guard operations tailored to meet the stringent security standards of major banking institutions.
Mr. Md. Alamgir Hossain completed both his Graduation (B.S.S. Hons.) and Master’s (M.S.S.) from the prestigious University of Dhaka. He also successfully completed a specialized English language course at the Institute of Modern Language, University of Dhaka, equipping him with elite global communication skills.
His professional journey began with key roles at M/S. Zyta Garments Ltd. (sister concern of Beco Group) and M/S. Paradise Fashions Ltd. (sister concern of Paradise Group). Throughout his career, Mr. Alamgir Hossain has developed comprehensive expertise in all aspects of business management, including raw material sourcing, client relationship management, cost optimization, security coordination, and leading large corporate teams. His global business acumen is further enriched by extensive professional travel to countries including Thailand, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore.
